I have a similar art work I did with the nuclear explosion showing it in three different forms incorporated within the same piece using multimedia while it being primitive media being from the 80's there wasn't the tech out there to do this so I'm studied in old school media as well as new school.

The work I did showed the rocket approaching the city in three point perspective using color pencil while giving an isometric view of the city prior to impact with the rocket above. the impact showing the mushroom cloud was the prominent fixture on the 24"x36" poster board using marker, pencil, glue for texture, acrylic, watercolor, all incorporated in the mushroom cloud along with the heat effect of a building made from tongue digressers and acrylic paint, then showing the aftermath showing a deformed face from radiation sickness with the skin peeling off.

This work brought me back to the 80's or eighth grade one of the two since I graduated high school in 88 I figure that's about right.

your work is a bit more elaborate than others I've seen while not concentrating on the explosion but giving the figure the front stage while showing the capabilities of a gun if left un checked can develop into something you’re not ready for but at the point of death no one is ready for it though we all have to face it one day it is something we cannot escape but to go out with a bang is the best way from my point of view.
